Who runs this site
Predicament Measures, at https://www.predicamentmeasures.com, is a website about emergency preparedness, backup power and off-grid gear. It is run by the Predicament Measures Editorial Team and operated from the United States. For privacy questions, write to privacy@predicamentmeasures.com.
This policy describes what the site actually does with information. It does not sell products, has no user accounts, no paid memberships and no newsletter, and comments are turned off.
Information we collect
- Server logs: the web host keeps standard logs that include IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
- Contact messages: if you write to us through the contact form, we receive the message and any details you put in it.
- Search performance data: we use Google Search Console to see how the site appears in Google Search. It does not place cookies on your browser.
The site does not set analytics cookies at the moment and does not show display ads. If that changes, we will update this policy.
Why we use it and how long we keep it
Server logs are kept for security and troubleshooting. Contact messages are used only to read and answer what you sent. The contact form sends your message by email to our editorial inbox, and we don’t use the form data for anything else.
We keep information only as long as it is useful for those purposes. Logs are managed by the web host under its own routines, and emails stay in our inbox until we delete them.
Cookies
The site itself sets no analytics cookies. Affiliate links are the one exception worth knowing about, because the store or network you click through may set its own cookie. Our Cookie Policy has the details and explains how to block or delete cookies.

Predicament Measures earns commissions through links to Amazon. When you click one, you leave our site, and the store or network has its own privacy policy that governs what it collects. Children’s privacy
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email privacy@predicamentmeasures.com and we will delete it.
